Amidst all of the sickness, I decided that I needed to actually utilize my free time to venture out of Lanark. Of course, it was a bit of a struggle given how bad I felt, but I managed to walk to the train station and make my way into Glasgow.

Once in Glasgow, I decided to actually do some shopping. Those who know me will be amazed that I actually spent a good part of the day looking through shops and taking the time to peruse a variety of items. Ultimately, I found a number of small items that I thought might actually fit in my luggage, some souvenirs and others gifts.

Anyway, after a long day, I managed to find my hotel and settle down for the evening. With a bit of luck, I managed to find a good restaurant right next door to my hotel and enjoyed a small dinner.

I wish that I had felt better throughout the day, but perhaps tomorrow might prove better.

While I woke up feeling relatively good this morning, my cough had yet to subside. As I ate breakfast, I began to plan my stops for the day. Unfortunately, there was a 10k for Father's Day, which was forcing the bus system to reroute and I was not comfortable with deciphering the changes. (I can barely work it when they're running according to plan.)

Anyway, this was not the end of the world. In the end, I got more time to simply walk around Glasgow and take in some of the interesting stores. By early afternoon, I was back in New Lanark and got to enjoy the beautiful day! It got all the way up to 74 degrees Fahrenheit!

This weekend was actually quite productive. I managed to see some of Glasgow, as well as purchase a number of souvenirs/gifts for myself and my loved ones. Hopefully I will manage to see quite a few sites next weekend in Edinburgh. For now, though, I am content with revving up for my fourth week at New Lanark!
