Happy Lanimer Day!

Today was an amazing day! Not only did I get to enjoy the festivities associated with the Lanark holiday that is Lanimer's, I also got to enjoy social interaction with a number of interesting individuals. In the morning, I made the trek up the massive hill and enjoyed a quite festive parade with quite impressive floats, or lorries as they are called here. After this, we went to Jane's to enjoy a light lunch before breaking out the drinks. Luckily, they didn't just serve alcohol, or I would have been in real trouble. Anyway, the afternoon was quite pleasant as I got the learn more about Lanark and Scotland. Also, I found that there were a number of individuals that wished to know my take on the best places to visit in the United States. In the evening, there was quite the dinner and I enjoyed not having to cook for myself or travel out and about to find food. (I was even graced with some leftovers!) All in all, Lanimer Day was quite fun and I enjoyed talking with Jane's friends and family! Tomorrow I will venture out to Stirling to see the castle and a number of historic sites! I can't wait to go on an adventure and see more of this beautiful country!
