The Journey Begins...

As I sit in the Chicago airport, I find myself wondering just what this journey has in store for me. What will I be working on? How will I actually get to my final destination? Am I truly prepared for such a journey? What will it be like to live in another country?

While I have traveled abroad twice before this journey, I have never ventured out on my own. It is just me sitting in this airport awaiting a flight that I will take alone. The plane doesn't board for 2 more hours, which gives me plenty of time to mentally prepare for the first leg of my journey.

I keep reminding myself that this is like college. I am going off on my own, into a land of unknowns, where I will learn to make my way and ultimately end up not wanting to leave.
